Add Storage Space Upgrade Option per Mailbox
Stop driving us to other email solutions and offer a per mailbox storage upgrade. Rackspace Apps is not always the answer, especially on small domains with only 1 or 2 mailboxes and is not reseller friendly for most CloudSites. This will only become more of a pain point as customers store more email and come to expect more storage based on what free services offer.
higher email storage space options can be achieved with the Rackspace E&A email solution.

I'll have to chime in on this too. We are already paying $150/mo for Cloud Sites. It's too hard to give us the ability to use our 50GB the way we want?
I'm not reselling my site, but I'm using all 50GB for myself. It's sad when a free service like gmail gives you way more storage than my $150/mo service through Rackspace gives me. But chalk it up to Chris Spencer to milk more money out of us.

It's very sad that it took 18 months for you to official respond with the same response you had 18 months ago...

Thank you for the answer, but I still need a definitive answer to:
* How many mailboxes can I create using cloud sites?
* What is the storage limit for each mailbox I create?
* Is there an overall limit on the storage across all my mailboxes?
* Does the storage space used for email count against my cloud storage limit? -

I'm thinking of using RS Sites, and the sales guy on chat made it sound like email was just included using the same features as RS Email. I didn't believe it and chatted with 3 additional sales guys, and got 3 different answers. I'm feeling like I can't even trust what I'll get for email now, and I'm sure I'm just like 99% of the customers out there just looking for a solid solution for my corporate website and email.

RFLMAO, don't wait up for this. I've been hitting this wall hard for over 2 years now - I don't think it's going to ever happen at this point.
Check out http://opensrs.com/ - they have a reseller friendly email platform - also domain names too...
Rackspace Apps Email can be a viable solution for larger corporate clients, and takes the burden of support off of you.
But for the other 98% this continues to be a frustrating limitation.

I'm really disappointed... sales advised me that this was not the case. Now I find myself moving all of my websites out as my clients depend on email.
REALLY disappointed. I hope this is fixed within the next few weeks.

I have just been thinking about switching to Rackspace today... I was about to click signup when I came accross this feedback.
I simply cannot use CloudSites whilst there are limitations on email.

Yes I just ran into this myself today. I can't believe there is a limit! I never realized there was only a 1 GB limit!
I wouldn't mind paying a few extra pennies per GB either. Please implement this!

This would be a huge help for my business. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more per GB of mail storage, but now I have to switch my customer's email for the 2nd time this year. Once to RS Cloud Sites, and now to RS Email. This would be a big help!!

Insanity. They were able to upgrade mailboxes via support for many years - so clearly it's possible. I wish someone from Rackspace would explain the logic behind this. In the meantime, they're just giving us reasons to look elsewhere. As I've said for years - take my money - please! PS - don't tell me to sign up for Rackspace Apps, we need a flexible solution

I understand it's the business model, but I would much rather use my cloud resources than be limited by the 1GB "free" accounts. Please increase it.

The CloudSites model looks appealing, but the Email features fail to deliver.
We as resellers we can not compete with the poor Email capacity and the need to upgrade to a separate and costly service to get the features that the Customer demands. -

Why is there no viable solution to this? 1GB is becoming more and more limiting as people start sending larger and larger attachments. Other hosting companies are offering much larger mailboxes and it's hard for us to compete. Forcing us to migrate all the users on a domain to RS Email and pay $2/mo each is not a feasible option too. A client with 50 mailboxes will mean a $100/mo email bill, and that's not even including our own markup. How do we compete with ANY hosting companies at that price?

Ugh, this might force me to go elsewhere. Please implement ASAP or provide ETA. Pricing similar to Email & Apps would be fine ($1 or $2/mo per email account), or at least push the cap to 2/3GB in the meantime. Also acceptable is pool email storage with Sites account storage. Thanks

On talking to RS technical support today, the email that is provided with Cloud Sites they regard as a free service i.e. you pay for site hosting and you get 1GB of free email thrown in.
Well this is news to me. And as I explained to them, this should be made clear on the marketing material, as it clearly is not.
The issue remains however that as the months go by, 1GB is becoming less and less likely to be what our customers are going to need as their IMAP email storage.
As a reseller, we are asking that there is an option to buy (yes, BUY!) additional mailbox storage for Cloud Sites. I can not see how this could unduly impact the infrastructure for Cloud Sites.
We are going to see if RS make a decision on this (this topic claims to be under review) and then leave to another provider if it is due to remain at 1GB per mailbox as a maximum.
Shame, we are happy with the control panel and support of RS other than this.
